Trisha’s

Trisha’s

We ellipsoids joining our circumference, over circular table on circular stools beside the circular scratcher circling her vinyls
Two big spheres in each of the two big speakers sinusoidally reverb as the basement livens
Shakers and movers painting the checkered floor with the soles of their shoes
Kicking with the cues of thick bass guitar deluge
And others partnered into corners nodding with their necks, ankles and knees, casting smiles and wild eyefuls between drink sips depleting, in bits, their glassfuls
You hand me your card full of sincerity asking for the round on it
Which I implore to my pocket alongside a promise, and waltz gently, reservedly, to the glazed wooden barstools
Sliding by bodies gliding raiments together
Laying down my forearms when reaching the counter
Tasked with acquiring cocktails
No menu
The bartender, young woman, levy’s my curiosity with a remark on this is my first shift on and when he returns might be able to answer your question hun
It’s been going well but
She was actually drinking here less than an hour ago before being asked if she wanted a trial
Ellipse my lips downwards signalling well regard at her hire
and survey the swirling room
The dark corners occasionally illuminated by contorting strobes
And robes of older patrons, well endowed in music, sipping from swirling glasses which gave me hope for
You
Silk black dress legs crossed and silk black hair deftly draped above your shoulders gently slouched towards the source of the rhythms towards which we all rocked
Onyx, rough, uncut, unfettered
He returns I manage to pull my attention away from your form for a second
Enquiring over liquids and repeat, for the quantity of two, the first and only thing I heard mentioned
Negroni garnished w orange pare
Did the manoeuvres there
Disco mover
Right place
She watched with decorum and heart in the right place
I paid, not touching your card laced in my trouser anterior
And smirked dancing back to our table eyes fixated on the contours of your exuberance
